Maerdy Communities First- Executive Committee

At the Communities First Partnership Meeting in December 2004 an Executive Committee – or Steering Group was elected to help with the day to day decision making process of the Communities First Programme in Maerdy.

Membership of the Executive Committee is reviewed regularly and all members must be Maerdy residents. The committee meet regularly and members’ roles include taking responsibility for key priorities, projects or themes within the Communities First initiative, such as Community Safety, Environment, Education & Training, Jobs & Business, Children and Young People, Health and Housing.

Members are also responsible for the day to day monitoring and evaluation of Communities First projects in Maerdy.
